Gotta love that D3..im not sure the Mark III could produce as clean as an image at this long of an exposure....did you have to deal with much noise in post processing?

Those are some really awesome star trails! I can't believe how dark the hills are! There must've been no light at all there aside from starlight. Great composition.

I so wish I had been out there, maybe with a 40'' dob. The light pollution isn't to bad here, but there is a large amount of skyglow coming in from the southwest and you can only see a little bit into fifth magnitude at best. Still, with my 6'' scope I have been able to see some stunning views of the orion nebula and the double cluster, as well as others.
